SilentWool Floor makes the ultimate solution for noise reduction and cushioning impact on your floors. This roll of 3mm thick Sheep Wool Insulation is specially designed to create an intermediate layer between your finished surface (laminate, solid, or semi-solid wooden floors) and subfloor (concrete or OSB boards), eliminating the harsh vibrations caused by direct contact between the two hard surfaces.

The SilentWool Floor rolls come in 1m width and 25m length, making it easy to cover large areas quickly and effectively. Plus, each roll is supplied with breathable paper for easy and practical installation as well as an extra layer of protection. SilentWool Floor can be implemented beneath solid timber floors, laminate floors, parquet floors and OSB/MDF boards. It can also be installed upon joisted, raft and concrete floors as well as OSB/MDF boards.

SilentWool Floor is designed to unroll with the paper layer on top for easy installation. When fitting, it’s important to take the edges up the wall by 2cm to prevent sound bridging. For precise measurements around obstacles, use a measuring tape and marking pen. For a smooth finish, join side-by-side sheets with sticky tape rather than overlapping. Then, install the timber floor directly onto the paper side of the pure wool acoustic underlay. Not only will the paper guarantee an even installation, but it will also protect the SilentWool Floor from damage. Once installation is finished, return to the floor edges and fold the underlay behind itself for additional insulation from the walls.

This product features Ionic Protect, a biocide-free wool protection system. It is proven to be ecological, sustainable, and durable, and is CUAP tested. It treats wool fibres in a plasma-ionic manner to shield them from all the detrimental effects of the building environment. Ionic Protect provides protection as a natural moth repellent and prevents fibre consumption.

Please note:

• Lay this product paper side up and store it flat on a dry surface.
• Required tools include scissors, wide moisture-resistant sticky tape, a measuring tape and a marking pen.
• The subfloor must be thoroughly clean and dry. When setting on a concrete floor, ensure the surface is even and free from imperfections that may damage the floor being installed.
