Danelaw LR120 is a durable and UV resistant underlay to be used as temporary weather protection for constructions where tiles or slates have yet to be laid. BBA approved in warm roofs and cold roofs, the recommended maximum exposure for Danelaw LR120 underlay is 3 months, however, the sooner the tiles or slates are installed, the better. Danelaw LR120 can be installed in a roof structure without any ventilation as long as a VCL has been installed and there is a well-sealed ceiling.
When other construction work on the build is taking place, you must take care to stop oil and petrol from coming into contact with the underlay, which can often happen due to the use of power tools. It’s also important to ensure that Danelaw LR120 underlay doesn’t encounter water-based timber treatments or wet solvents.
As defined in BS 5250 Annex H, Danelaw LR120 is a type LR underlay with high quality and low resistance. This roofing underlay can be installed in unsupported applications draped over rafters or in supported applications over timber sarking or rigid insulation.
Independently tested by the BRE, this Danelaw underlay can be used at a 250mm batten gauge unsupported at all wind uplift zones and at 345mm batten gauge unsupported in zones 1, 2 and 3.
