The JCW Acoustic Isolation Strip is comprised of 5mm thick bonded recycled rubber and is a versatile option. It can be used in both new build projects as well as renovation projects with its main function being to isolate any areas of the wall structure that come into contact, which could potentially compromise the acoustic build-up performance as sound can transmit through the structure.
This sound transfer can be prevented when the strip is used in partitioning or party walls. The JCW Acoustic Isolation Strip is also used when isolating timber stud or metal frame walls, and it is often used in floor joists. There, it can be positioned on top of the floor deck to deliver isolation in acoustic flooring constructions.
