Knauf DriTherm 37 Cavity Wall Insulation Slab 1200 X 455 X 85mm 4.37m2 Pack

These DriTherm® 37 Cavity Slabs are unfaced glass mineral wool slabs that repel water and are intended for external full-fill masonry cavity walls. They provide excellent thermal performance and are non-combustible with Euroclass A1 reaction to fire classification. Cavity barriers are not necessary with this non-combustible full-fill insulation, as it reduces the risk of fire spreading through a cavity.

Manufactured using Knauf Insulation’s unique bio-based binder, ECOSE® Technology, these slabs have been certified by the BBA. They are for use in buildings that measure up to 12m in any exposure zone, even in harsh areas, as long as the requirements of the BBA certification are met. They are also for use in multi-storey applications up to 25m in height.

Sized to fit snugly between wall ties, negating the need for retaining discs, DriTherm® Cavity Slabs possess several other desirable properties, such as being odourless, rot-proof, and non-hygroscopic. They do not sustain vermin and do not provide a breeding ground for fungi, mould or bacteria. BBA tests indicate that no transmission of moisture from below the damp proof course level or by capillary action across the cavity will occur, and they will not transmit water to the inner leaf.    

DriTherm® Cavity Slabs are easier to install than rigid boards as the material adjusts to slight imperfections and knit together, leaving no air gaps. This is vital for optimal performance. They are also lightweight and easy to handle, allowing for straightforward installation that involves simple cutting as needed. Recyclable polythene packs (4-LDPE) allow for short-term protection.

• For longer-term storage on site, it is best to keep this Knauf insulation indoors or covered and off the ground as exposure to the elements can compromise its effectiveness.
