This Rocksilk® RS45 insulation features versatile and reliable building slabs, made from rock mineral wool, that can be used for a wide variety of thermal and acoustic applications. They are manufactured with Knauf Insulation’s innovative ECOSE® Technology, a unique bio-based binder.

With its Euroclass A1 reaction to fire classification, this Rocksilk® insulation is a non-combustible and multi-purpose material that is suitable for use in an array of installations including timber frame walls, light steel frame walls, internal walls and partitions, pitched roofs at rafter level, fabrication of thermal, acoustic and fire products and separating, internal or ground floors. Not only is it odourless, rot-proof and non-hygroscopic, but it also does not sustain the growth of bacteria, mould or fungi nor attract vermin, ensuring a long-lasting installation for the lifespan of your wall structure.

Installing this Rocksilk® RS45 insulation is easy and straightforward thanks to its unique properties. Unlike rigid boards, it can adapt to slight imperfections in the substrate and knit together, eradicating air gaps that can compromise insulation performance. It is also lightweight and can be effortlessly cut to size, making it an excellent choice for complex constructions that require customised insulation solutions.

If you are environmentally conscious, you will appreciate that this Rocksilk® RS45 insulation is eco-friendly as it contains no ozone-depleting substances or greenhouse gases. It is also supplied in recyclable polythene packs which provide short-term protection.

• This RockSilk® insulation is unfaced however it can be customised with a factory-applied foil or tissue facing, providing a solution for a wide range of applications.
• These Rocksilk® Building Slabs should be stored indoors or under cover and off the ground for long-term protection. They should not be left permanently exposed to the elements.
