Lightweight and easy to install, the Manthorpe G242 cavity closer is a top-notch product, particularly designed for use with wooden windows and doors. With a variety of sizes to fit all cavities, you can use a saw to easily customise the lengths to your preference without any other special tools and without compromising thermal efficiency. To securely fasten some products, PVC flanges can be utilised.

This closer can be used individually as lengths, fixed directly onto door frames and windows, or preformed as frames for maximum adaptability. It can also be implemented into a complete detail that incorporates wooden door/window plasterboard and frames for accordance with the government’s building regulations (Part B).

To firmly mortar the closer to the brickwork, you can use G245 and G246 Plastic Fixing Clips. This technique also enables shorter lengths to be joined together, minimising wastage.

In situations where a window frame is positioned behind an outer leaf, the G242 Single Flange Cavity Closer can be installed in a rebated detail.
